Having a knack for thrillers? Are you becoming the detective in your novel in hand? Then the wait is over because “The Silent Widow” is your one stop solution. It brews a potpourri of suspense, vendetta leaving us in a gamut of bewildered ecstasy oftentimes, stringed with certain awe. Illustrated by Tilly Bagshawe, Sheldon the author of eighteen previous best-selling novels – with a demonstrated records of over 300 million copies and approx. 200 television scripts. Each holding high accolades in New York Times bestsellers.

Spread over a rollercoaster ride of forty-one (41) chapters, it deals the negated topics of drug addictions, underlying crimes for drugs like crokodile , marijuana et al. in none other than but pivoting it around Mexico City. The novel reflects a sheer eloquence and lucidity in style with certain anecdotes from real life happenings.

The cover of the book appears simple yet mysterious – as the blackened lady supposedly the “widow” walks into faded sunlight with a shadow of a man following, the apt use of eeriness. It shows the author's appeal of holding onto his reader’s attention till the very end. The use of flashbacks, the repeated suspicion on wrong persons and the secret yet quite unknown relation of the victims with the protagonist Dr. Nikki Roberts, a psychologist. She makes her living out of reading people’s minds, a contrast to her own unknown relation with the fellow victims.

The story comes to stir when a young American AU pair Charlotte Clancy vanishes without a trace in Mexico City. About a decade later, Los Angeles is shaken by the gruesome train of violent murders, where Nikki the common link is questioned. As the story advances, one after another her clients and dear ones are murdered, whom the detectives claim was her plan. However, at last the truth unfolds and to the reader’s astonishment the same detective Goodman tries to kill her for his promotion and the violent murders were planned by none other than by a businessman Rodriguez. He with the help of Brandon Grolsch, a drug addict had executed their heinous plans.

I personally recommend this book in particular as it held to every promise it made. Full with thrilled, chilling excitement, it leaves the reader’s mind in a hullabaloo, while they  pass it as a ‘must read'. So what are you waiting for! Dive into this world of horror, fight your fears and emerge triumphant into the world of truth.. And relive the detective in yourself.

Nature and Love    |•YOUR SPRING AND MY AUTUMNS•| You came in me, like blossoms of Spring, Bloom and colours around, with joys sürülen. Soothing breeze of love filled air, A new felt aura, touched my skin. My eyes, like Iris, brimmed in hope, My leaves of love, giggled when touched with soothing rays of moon. Sundry promises, distances nigh, Broke into pieces, when my autumns arrived. My gardens were bare, leaves of love, were left to dry. I smell now, approaching chrysanthemum sprawls, My soothing skin now, pricks and boils. ~You gave me autumns, eclipsing my days, Yet I love you still, as from dried blossoms, sprouted a seed of hope, With each reminiscence of yours, I found myself, relishing the spring In you. ~©𝓐𝓷𝓾𝓼𝓱 ✿ ('Anisha Das)

ISSHOKENMEI OF LIFE

 |•ISSHOKENMEI OF LIFE•| I often wonder, why do I leave things mid way. Not giving much passion or a second thought of getting back. Those things which I leave never meet their end, 'a full stop' much needed. It may be same as our lives, where our breath stops mid way: leaving so much more to relinquish but no commas to continue. We live in the ink of writers, their words but when the nip breaks, words fail to imprint in the paper of life. Writers hold a certain privilege where their beloved finds permanence in the forever etched words. Such tales airs the creativity in us, pushing us to kindle the fire within us. Leaving things have left me no adjectives, I wish for more commas now, like how a chilly zephyr blows the frail flowers from branches, falling down I wish fragrance: an essence of existence in this line of life, where leaving things push me to accomplish more, isshokenmei beckons the sacred light. Falling down the stairs of hope, we are left pained. Pained, dejected
